ASTER Pricing Policy

At the direction of NASA, the Land Processes (LP) Distributed Active Archive Center (DAAC) at the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Earth Resources Observation and Science Center (EROS) has adopted the following charging policy for selected ASTER data products. Effective January 25, 2006, an $80 charge per granule (scene) for FTP orders will be placed on all ASTER Level 1A, Level 1B, Level 2, and ASTER DEM products ordered through the LP DAAC. Additional charges for handling also apply. Certain NASA investigators may be exempt from the new pricing policy, and may apply to receive data free of charge. Refunds cannot be provided for purchased data now available in the Data Pool.
