Title: Healthy and Energy-Efficient Housing in Hot and Humid Climates: A Model Design
This project is developing an integrated approach for the design of cost-effective housing in hot, humid climates using water and energy conservation to ensure occupant health, sustainability, and reduce the impacts of building materials and the building itself on local and global environments. The overall objective is to reduce total energy consumption by 50% over conventional housing designs with less than 2% overall cost increase.
