The 2008 Multi-Sector General Permit (MSGP) requires industrial facility operators to idenitfy their receiving waters and whether these waters are "impaired." The Water Locator Tool allows you to locate impaired waterbodies (based on EPA’s 303d list), within a 10 mile radius of your facility. The Water Locator Tool provides you with the EPA identification number for each 303d listed segment, links to a map of the TMDL 303d waterbody and the distance to your facility. Note: The Water Locator Tool should be used as a starting point to locate impaired waterbodies near your facility. This tool does not provide you with a list of all waterbodies near your facility. To determine which waterbodies your industrial facility discharges to, you should use additional information such as USGS topographic maps. In addition, you should visit the TMDL website for your state to see the most current TDML 303d impaired waterbody list.
