Activity and Time Use Analysis 2008
TRB’s Transportation Research Record: Journal of the Transportation Research Board, No. 2054 includes 12 papers that explore the synchronicity of activity engagement and travel in time and space, analysis of activity conflict resolution strategies, destination choice in daily activity travel, differences of household weekday and weekend activities, tour-based time-of-day choices for weekend activities, and analysis of planning decisions during the activity-scheduling process. This issue of the TRR also examines the variability of travel over multiple days, weekly rhythm in joint time expenditure for all at-home and out-of-home activities, random utility-based microeconomic model for discretionary activity time allocation, the nature and extent of the activity-travel preplanning decision process, improved motif identification of activity sequences, and network equilibrium with activity-based microsimulation models.
Individual TRRs, which are published on an irregular basis throughout the year, consist of collections of peer-reviewed papers on specific transportation subject areas and modes. TRB's TRR Online service allows all visitors to identify papers of interest and review abstracts of those papers. Access to the full papers is available to service subscribers and employees of TRB sponsors. Papers may also be purchased on an individual basis.
Printed copies of TRR Journals may also be purchased on an annual subscription basis. Each year, TRB publishes approximately 45 volumes of the TRR Journal, containing more than 800 papers grouped by subject.
