Battery

UNICOR/FPI is noted throughout the U.S. armed forces and federal agencies for production of long-life batteries that are high quality, heavy duty, and low maintenance. They are used in aircraft, submarines and ships and vehicles of all sizes. Our battery equipment is also used for remote operation of communications, emergency lighting, alarm systems, uninterruptible power supplies and other mission-critical equipment.

We produce a wide range of battery boxes, battery box assemblies and non-rechargeable batteries. They are constructed to operate reliably and repeatedly in harsh usage and weather environments.

UNICOR/FPI also has full capabilities to produce customized battery boxes and battery box assemblies. Our nationwide manufacturing facilities and global distribution system ensures that we meet customer requirements for quality battery production and on-time delivery.

Battery Box

UNICOR/FPI produces and distributes heavy-duty and extra heavy-duty battery boxes that are completely sealed, maintenance-free, leak-proof and usable in any position. These batteries come in many different sizes and voltages for incorporation into vehicles and heavy equipment. They feature a computer-designed lead and calcium tin alloy grid for high power density, and have a low self discharge level.

Battery Box Assemblies

For large-scale battery power requirements, UNICOR/FPI connects and rack mounts several battery boxes in specific configurations to produce assemblies that power heavy-duty equipment in submarine, shipboard, avionic or large vehicle usage.

We have the capacity to produce assemblies from rechargeable and non-rechargeable batteries to meet your power distribution needs.

Non-rechargeable batteries

Non-rechargeable batteries have key usages in communication headsets, handsets and radios. UNICOR/FPI supplies a wide variety of non-rechargeable batteries, including alkaline and lithium/sulfur dioxide. Non-rechargeable batteries also can be connected together and mounted to supply heavy-duty power where use of rechargeable batteries is not practical.
