Tips and Assistance

The Department of Education, Office of Postsecondary Education, conducted a pre-application technical assistance workshop for applicants who are interested in applying for a Historically Black College and University (HBCU) and/or Historically Black Graduate Institution (HBGI) fiscal year 2007 grant. A letter dated January 23, 2007 was sent to all prospective HBCU and HBGI applicants providing details regarding the workshop. Department staff assisted prospective applicants in preparing grant applications and budget information, and provided information on types of projects, including supportable and unsupportable activities and funding levels.

The technical assistance workshop was held February 22-23, 2007 at the Sheraton Raleigh Hotel, Raleigh, North Carolina. An agenda is available for your reference.
