Rationale

TBTEAM is the TB TEchnical Assistance Mechanism of the Stop TB Partnership. TBTEAM maximizes the network of Stop TB partners, including National TB Programmes, local and international NGOs, financial partners, and WHO at country, regional and global levels. It links with all technical bodies of the Stop TB Partnership including: Green Light Committee, Global Laboratory Initiative, Global Drug Facility, the TBCAP mechanism and all implementation working groups of the Stop TB Partnership. TBTEAM provides a platform for coordination, encourages collaboration, promotes available expertise and facilitates planning for technical assistance according to needs. TBTEAM aims to promote local ownership of planning for and accessing technical assistance based on sound technical discussion by National Interagency Coordination Committees (ICCs) or other TB coordination mechanisms.

Requests

For technical assistance, countries may apply through standard WHO channels by submitting requests to country offices or other TBTEAM focal points at country, regional, and global level. The TBTEAM focal points will use TBTEAM tools to accommodate requests.
