How to Get Involved

Make a Commitment

A key component of the National Action Plan for Energy Efficiency is stakeholders committing to take action to advance the Recommendations in their spheres of influence. New organizations are welcome to join the Action Plan effort by endorsing the Action Plan recommendations and/or making a commitment to advance energy efficiency. Commitments are measurable against the Action Plan metrics and advance the Action Plan recommendations.

If your organization is interested in making a commitment (PDF) (1 pg., 58K, About PDF) under the National Action Plan for Energy Efficiency, please contact Katrina Pielli (pielli.katrina@epa.gov) and Larry Mansueti (lawrence.mansueti@hq.doe.gov) to discuss.

Learn More

The National Action Plan developed numerous resources to educate stakeholders on existing approaches being used across the country to advance energy efficiency, including the Report, Guides and Papers, Fact Sheets, and Clean Energy Resources Database.

Get Engaged

A number of new collaborative processes and energy efficiency efforts are underway in states across the country. Efficiency proceedings benefit from input from a full range of stakeholders. The NARUC state utilities commission Web siteExit EPA Disclaimer is a good place to start to learn more about what’s happening in your state.

Spread the Word

Share your energy efficiency best practices and the wealth of information and resources from the Action Plan with your colleagues. The Action Plan sample educational presentations and communications kit (14 pp., 428K, About PDF) are two resources to help get you started.
