The official grand opening of the International Exhibition begins on an eye-opening note with a brunch reception. Explore our exhibitors’ array of programs, products and services in an informal and fun atmosphere.

The Council would like to recognize the organizations and companies that have been a vital part of the exhibition for 5, 10 or more years, as part of its 35th anniversary celebration.

Prof. Carl Taylor is the recipient of the inaugural Global Health Council Lifetime Achievement Award for his dedication to improving the health care of the world’s most marginalized people through innovative and sustainable community-based interventions.

Community Networks: Professional Networking, Global Health Advocacy and Community Awareness Raising

Join us to learn more about networking with professionals in your area who regularly raise community awareness and advocate for global health issues at the Community Network event! The Council currently hosts Networks in the following areas: Cleveland, Ohio; St. Louis, Missouri and Illinois; Miami; New York City; West Virginia; and the Upper Valley area in Vermont and New Hampshire.

Global Health Council Annual Membership Meeting
11 am-Noon

The Council invites all our members to come and hear more about the future of the Council. This meeting will focus on a discussion of the Council’s recently adopted five-year strategic plan to be the leading global health organization in the world. Council executive staff will discuss the plan and members will have the opportunity to ask questions. This is an exciting time to be a Council member! With the significant growth in our membership in recent years, the Council continues to greatly value our members’ input and ideas. Please join us for this special update.
Please note: This event is also open to non-members who may be interested in hearing more about the benefits of membership.

Media Awards Luncheon Session

This event will provide an opportunity to learn more about the changing global media landscape and honor the best of global health reporting over the past year with the presentation of the 2008 Excellence in Media Awards.
