Since 1914, when Booz Allen Hamilton was founded and undertook its first transportation consulting assignment, the transportation industry has been challenged to keep pace with a rapidly changing world. Aviation Infrastructure—Booz Allen serves clients in air traffic management systems, airports, aeronautics research, and safety management systems. Booz Allen is serving as the technical advisor for the Next Generation Air Transportation System and developing a proactive systematic approach to safety analysis and regulation of air carriers and maintenance operations.
Highways and Automotive Technology—Booz Allen serves highway and transportation systems with expertise in the development of alternative fuels and automotive technology, intelligent transportation systems, telematics, congestion pricing, and public-private partnerships. Booz Allen is supporting USDOT with its Vehicle Infrastructure Integration program.
Passenger Rail and Mass Transit—Booz Allen provides consulting to urban mass transportation agencies and passenger railroads, including intercity, commuter rail, heavy rail, light rail, and people-mover technology. We are advising clients across the nation on rolling stock engineering and integrated mobility solutions to replace fare payment systems with smart cards and near field communications technology.
Postal Service—Booz Allen works with clients throughout the USPS to design and implement solutions around strategy, operations, sustainability, organizational change, and technology.
