Simulation and Design
The Simulation & Design program focuses on developing and demonstrating computerized approaches to achieving environmentally beneficial changes in manufacturing processes and products and measuring the progress achieved. Current simulation work includes methods for developing Pollution Prevention (P2) including assessment modules for chemical process simulators and solvent design software.
The Major Projects of the Simulation & Design Team are:
- Computer Aided Chemical Process Design Methodologies for Pollution Reduction
- Chemical Process Simulation for Waste Reduction: WAR Algorithm
- Industrial Ecology - Hierarchical Process Design
