Greening EPA

In addition to its own environmentally preferable purchasing, EPA is greening its fleet with alternative fuel vehicles which reduce harmful emissions and increase fuel efficiency. The USDA BioPreferred program designates preferred biobased products and provides guidance to vendors and federal purchasers.

ENERGY STAR®
ENERGY STAR is a joint program of EPA and the Department of Energy that qualifies and promotes energy efficient products, services and practices.

Through the CPG, EPA designates products that are or can be made with recovered materials, and recommends practices for buying these products.
