The First Lady of the United States, Mrs. Laura
Bush, on her first visit to Zambia, praised US Mission Staff for

Zambian Chili Exporter Wins U.S.
Ambassador’s Praise
U.S. Ambassador to Zambia Carmen Martinez
has commended African Spices Ltd. for its contribution to rural
development through exports of chili to regional and international
markets. She made the remarks today while touring the Livingstone-based
company.African Spices commercially farms and exports chili peppers
to the Elephant Pepper Company in South Africa and McIlhenny Company,.

Coffee Farm
The
U.S. Ambassador to Zambia, Carmen Martinez, visited Terranova
Estates on April 17, 2007 and was highly impressed with the manner
in which the farm owner, Colin Street, grows and processes the
top grade coffee which he sells to Starbucks. Terranova is the
first coffee farmer in Zambia to sell coffee to America’s

Terranova School in Zambia
The U.S. Ambassador to Zambia, Carmen Martinez,
opened a new library and donated several books to children at
the community school of Terranova Coffee Farm in Mazabuka, on
