EPA collects information and provides online resources relevant to improving environmental performance for particular industry sectors. The following links provide a large array of sector-specific information on pollution prevention, voluntary partnerships, best practices, sector performance, and more. Sectors BackgroundEPA Sector Strategies Program provides regulations, compliance information, reinvention activities (e.g., voluntary programs), and publications for 13 important sectors. This site also includes:

Waste Reduction Resource Center provides pollution prevention core references for 26 industry sectors. The core references collection includes technical references, fact sheets and case studies on pollution prevention for these industry sectors.
The Pollution Prevention Resource Exchange (P2Rx) is a consortium of eight regional pollution prevention information centers. This Web page provides links to these centers, which provide pollution prevention information, networking opportunities and other services to states, local governments and technical assistance providers in their region.
Office of Enforcement and Compliance Assurance's (OECA's) EPA Sector Notebooks contain comprehensive environmental information on 29 major industries. Each notebook contains a comprehensive environmental profile for the sector, industrial process information, pollution prevention techniques, pollutant release data, innovative programs and partnerships, contacts, and references.
The Enforcement Compliance History Online (ECHO) Sector Facility Indexing Universe field provides compliance and inspection history and demographics information for the five SFIP industry sectors. Information includes compliance and inspection history, chemical releases and spills, demographics of the surrounding population and production.
ChemAlliance is the compliance assistance center for the chemical industry. Funded by EPA's Office of Compliance and Enforcement and operated by a partnership of environmental professionals in government, industry, and academia, ChemAlliance is a source of up-to-date information concerning the environmental regulations affecting the chemical industry.

Responsible Care® is the chemical industry's global voluntary initiative under which companies, through their national associations, work together to continuously improve their health, safety and environmental performance.
Technical Assistance of the Pulp & Paper Industry (TAPPI) provides technical information for policy compliance and environmental management solutions.
The American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA) is a national trade association of the forest, paper, and wood products industry.
Independent Petroleum Association of America (IPAA) is an industry organization representing U.S. oil and natural gas producers.
American Petroleum Institute (API) provides resources for oil and natural gas producers to improve their environmental performance.
The National Metal Finishing Strategic Goals Program is a partnership between EPA and the metal finishing industry to encourage metal finishers to go beyond environmental compliance. Program resources include benchmarking tools, success stories, compliance assistance, pollution prevention, environmental management systems, financing, and more.
