Real-time conditions (de-trended) This website displays water levels at individual sites relative to the long-term trends observed in the data collected over the past 25 years. The stations shown are restricted to those set up for unattended data transmission, primarily by satellite. The site itself was produced in conjunction with WRIR 01-4274 (download 6.3 MB). An HTML version of this report is also available.

Map pages showing real-time ground-water conditions, with trend removal incorporated into the maps and graphs include:

Geographic areas

Aquifers

Detailed information on how the de-trended maps are created, and both FGDC- and HTML- formatted metadata files for the station coverage used in the map are also available.

Real-time conditions (without trend removal) Similar to the above site, this website displays water levels at individual sites relative to the average of the water-levels data collected over the past 25 years. The same sites are shown as on the de-trended site, i.e., restricted to those set up for unattended data transmission, primarily by satellite. The site itself was produced in conjunction with WRIR 01-4274 (download 6.3 MB). An HTML version of this report is also available.

End-of-month conditions (de-trended) This website displays water levels at individual sites relative to the long-term trends observed in the data collected over the past 25 years. The sitess shown include all USGS stations set up for unattended data collection, usually at 60- or 15-minute intervals. Because the data at most of these stations must be manually downloaded, the site provides data up to the month two months previous to the current month. Prior to September 2000, the USGS had produced a ground-water End-of-Month (EOM) report summarizing water-level information throughout South Florida. However, this report had a number of drawbacks, and so this site has replaced the EOM report.

Periodic sampling (without trend removal) This website displays water levels at individual sites relative to the average of the water-levels data collected over the past 25 years. The stations shown include all USGS stations that require periodic site visits for manual water-level data collection. Because the data at most of these stations must be manually obtained and entered into the USGS data systems, the site shows data up to the month two months previous to the current month. Many of the stations are visited monthly, but some may be on a lower-frequency schedule.

Funding for the USGS to design and maintain this site has been provided through a cooperative agreement with the South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD). Water-level conditions are monitored by the USGS with support from Federal, State, and local cooperators.
