SUMMERTOWN MAN CHARGED WITH TAX EVASION

Larry Emmett Brown of Summertown, Tennessee, was indicted on four counts of income tax evasion from 1998 through 2001. Brown failed to file income tax returns for 1998 through 2001 which resulted in tax due and owing to the United States totaling approximately $240,000. In addition, Brown filed false Forms W-4 each year which stated he was exempt from federal withholding taxes.
