Research Project: JOBOS BAY CONSERVATION EFFECTS ASSESSMENT PROJECT

Location: Southeast Watershed Research

Project Number: 6602-13000-022-07
Project Type: Memorandum of Understanding

Start Date: May 22, 2008
End Date: May 21, 2011

Objective:
To evaluate and deliver approaches that meet the needs of the agencies and land users to determine environmental effects that agricultural conservation practices may have on coastal waters and associated habitats in tropical ecosystems and to coral reefs.

Approach:
Working collaboratively and in partnership sharing expertise by drawing on partners' specific areas of experience; sharing data to prevent duplication; pooling resources for more effective delivery; providing encouragement and support to one another; motivation and commitment; and encouraging innovation and experimentation to develop innovative and challenging new ways of working in conservation of the natural resources and welfare of the people. All parties agree to commit to these principles in pursuit of partnership at the meeting held on May 22, 2008 in Salinas, Puerto Rico.
