Research Project: CONTROL OF ZOONOTIC AVIAN VIRUSES

Objective:
The objective of this cooperative research project is to jointly study avian influenza viruses, paramyxoviruses, pneumoviruses and other viral agents of poultry that potential can cross between birds and humans.

Approach:
The studies will use immunological, virological, molecular, genetic, and pathological methodologies and animal models to study the pathogenesis, immunology, vaccine safety and efficacy, therapeutics and epidemiology of the viruses and infections they cause.
