Research Project: SURVEY OF THE CARIBBEAN FOR NATURAL ENEMIES OF THE DIAPREPES ROOT WEEVIL

Objective:
The objective of this cooperative research project is identify and evaluate natural enemies of the Diaprepes root weevil in the Caribbean as potential agents of biological control in Florida.

Approach:
A comprehensive survey of Puerto Rico will be followed by surveys of other islands of the Greater and Lesser Antilles. Candidate natural enemies will be collected, reared, and shipped to Florida for evaluation and potential release. The collection sites will be generated.
