The Imported Fire Ant and Household Insects Research Unit has worked closely with public institutions and commercial firms to translate research results into practical products, processes, and services. Technology transfer Cooperative Research and Development Agreements (CRADAS) were created by Congress in 1986 to enhance and facilitate this traditional cooperation.
