As part of our ongoing series of Transportation Asset Management Webinars, FHWA with AASHTO's Subcommittee on Asset Management invite you to join us on December 10 as we discuss; Inventory and Asset Management Beyond Pavements and Bridges.

The objective of this webinar is to provide an overview of the AASHTO peer workshop pertaining to "Inventory and Asset Management of other Asset Classes". This peer exchange took place during the AASHTO summer conference in July 2008.

The webinar will continue with an overview of Oregon DOT's Asset Management activities pertaining to ancillary structures including culverts.

The third presentation will focus on an overview of a research project administered by the Midwest Regional University Transportation Center (MRUTC) centered on developing field protocols and operational business rules for inventory data collection and management and inspection of drainage infrastructures. The project included an examination of the inventory and inspection protocols employed by Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) and developed a decision support platform. The goal was to better track the conditions of culverts thus reducing the risks of culvert failure.
