Recent Hydrologic Conditions -- HawaiiLatest update June 6, 2008 Waiehu test hole B (06-5431-01), MauiWaiehu test hole B (06-5431-01) is located in the Iao area of West Maui. Water levels in the well reflect the altitude of the water table in the Wailuku Basalt. The well was drilled for the Wailuku Sugar Co. in 1974 and continuous monitoring began in 1982. The well was drilled to a depth of 555 ft from an altitude of about 494 ft. The well is open to the aquifer between altitudes of -6 and -61 ft. This station is operated by Matt Wong of the Maui field office. Recent water-level record compared with historical data
The daily maximum and minimum data show how recent conditions compare to the range of daily water levels measured in the historical record. The entire period of record is used to estimate daily maximum, minimum, and median water levels. The spikes appear because data prior to 1993 were reported at 5-day intervals.
