Northwest Kilohana monitor well (02-0126-01),Kauai

The Northwest Kilohana monitor well (02-0126-01) is located in the Lihue Basin on the northeast slope of Kilohana Volcano. Water levels reflect the altitude of the water table in the Koloa Volcanics. The well was drilled by the USGS in 1996 and continuous monitoring began near the end of that year. The well was drilled to a depth of 1,004 ft from an altitude of about 678 ft. The well is open to the aquifer between altitudes of 480 and -326 ft. This station is operated by Vaughn Kunishige of the Honolulu field office.
