Professional Biographical Information:

 

2004-present: USDA SCEP (Student Career Experience Program) participant;

                         Direct PhD student of Purdue University, Computer Engineering.

 

2001-2003: M.A. Duke University. Performance Practice of Music, piano specialization.

 

1997-2001: B.A. Sweet Briar College. Double major in Mathematics/Computer Science and Music.  Summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa.

 

Current Research:

 

Academic advisor is Avinash Kak at Purdue University and work supervisor is Michael Glenn.  Current research employs computer vision and sensors to solve problems in the fruit industry, specifically the automation of orchard tasks.

 

Current and future work is concerned with three-dimensional modeling of the orchard. This work is executed at AFRS in West Virginia and at the Robot Vision Lab of Purdue University.
