Analytical Balances
balancesAnalytical balances are used for accurate weighing of reagents and media. They are checked and calibrated annually by the manufacturer’s service technician, and the results are recorded in the LIMS. Calibration records are stored in the equipment logbook. Balances must rest on a firm, level surface. Balance trays are wiped off after each use with water or a surface disinfectant, such as Conflikt or 70 percent ethanol.
