Business Associations in Twelve Regions Promote Reforms
During a five-day workshop in Smolensk last week, business associations from Smolenskaya, Nizhegorodskaya, Kirovskaya, and Kamchatskaya Oblasts each created work plans to improve the business climate in their regions and promote administrative and policy reforms for small and medium-sized enterprises. The workshop was organized by the USAID-supported Center for International Private Enterprise and is the fourth in a series of events aimed at strengthening regional business associations’ advocacy skills. Previous workshops have given rise to business coalitions in Perm, Samara, Saratov, Volgograd, Krasnodar, Irkutsk, Khabarovsk, and Vladivostok.
