Aid Helps Residents Improve Life in Remote Mountain Community
On March 3, representatives from USAID and the Foundation for Sustainable Development (FSD) visited the Agulskiy District in Dagestan, Russia to lay the groundwork for a new community development project. Located in the foothills of the Caucasus Mountains, Tpig is 350 km away from the Dagestani capital Makhachkala. The project will assist the local school and district hospital in improving energy efficiency and involve the local citizenry in community decision-making.
