Over the last three years, the Path! Program has trained 500 teachers from high schools, orphanages and colleges in the Russian Far East (RFE) to help more than 10,000 youth to make positive life choices and become empowered, gender sensitive, and informed about the risks of trafficking. The October conference emphasized practical demonstration of innovative teaching methods against trafficking and domestic violence. Eight master classes including, “My Future profession,”  “If You Want to Be Happy – Be Happy,” and “Talking about Domestic Violence with Young People” were presented by enthusiastic teachers from various RFE educational establishments. American volunteer Steve Rinder, a Certified Family Coach from Florida, talked about effectively working with children on domestic violence issues, promoting non-violent strategies for interpersonal relations, and dealing with abused teens.
