Ultimately, any piece of information that we post, that someone does not agree with, serves to advocate a view that is in oppostion to the one of the disagreeing individual, or group.

The majority of posters in this group want to disseminate information about women and literacy education, and it so happens that the field is underfunded and women issues are not well understood, women are not being served adequately and we need additional funds to better serve women in adult education and explore women's issues.

We live in a time where the government feels that we should not spend monies in women and literacy issues. Hence, talking about exploring women's issues, funding, and adult education happens to be in opposition to the view of the government. So, in essence, we are advocating for the thing that they oppose. What do we do if talking about the things that we normally talk about against listserv policy?

Janet! You got me all confused.

Andres
