It should be: Numeracy@world.std.com >>> alcdgg@langate.gsu.edu 06/06/03 06:30 AM >>> I am excited to share that in Sept. Esther D. Leonelli will be guest facilitating a discussion on this listserv. The focus of the discussion will be on issues related to women and numeracy. She is the Program Director at the Notre Dame Education Center in South Boston, MA. She has also been an educational consultant and math instructor for close to twenty years. A co-founder, past president, and board member of the Adult Numeracy Network, an affiliate of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics, Esther moderates the ANN Numeracy list, an electronic discussion list for adult education practitioners (numeracy@worldstd.com). She currently serves as a member of the Core Knowledge Group of the Science and Numeracy Special Collection for the NIFL-LINCS Special Collections. Her professional interests include ABE/GED math instruction, professional development for adult math educators, and educational policy on adult numeracy instruction. We are announcing it now so that over the summer you can think about questions, concerns, and issues that you may have related to women, numeracy, and your classroom.
