Advanced Transportation Technologies Initiative (ATTi)

Description: The Advanced Transportation Technology and Energy Initiative (ATTEI) was established by the California Community College's Economic and Workforce Development Program. In particular it was created as a means for keeping competitive as a national leader in advanced transportation technologies and to transform the workforce in the rapidly developing, technology-driven transportation industry, while improving the environment and stimulating the economy.
American Society of Civil Engineers, Educational Outreach section

Description: Introducing children to engineering through fun, hands-on activities is a natural way to increase their understanding of an "invisible" profession, as well as broaden their career options. ASCE's educational outreach programs reach children, their parents and educators all over the country. From the award-winning Building Big miniseries to building towers out of newspapers, ASCE offers the tools to help our members plan and lead outstanding educational outreach programs.
Applications Overview

Description: This website provides an overview of the technologies addressed by the Federal Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) program and contains links to various information resources that will be useful in the planning and deployment of ITS. Provides resources for sub-topics within 16 ITS application areas: arterial management, freeway management, transit management, incident management, emergency management, electronic payment, traveler information, information management, crash prevention and safety, roadway operations and maintenance, road weather management, commercial vehicle operations, intermodal freight, collision avoidance systems, collision notification systems, and driver assistance systems.
Aurora Program

Description: Aurora is an international partnership of public agencies who work together to perform joint research activities in the area of road weather information systems (RWIS). This website is designed to introduce the program, the partners, and our collaborative research projects.
Benefits Database

Description: A database that provides the ITS professional community with quick and easy access to information regarding the impacts of ITS deployments. Used to understand benefits of ITS applications at legislative and technological levels.
California State Automobile Association "The Otto Club"

Description: Child-level games, stories, sing-a-longs, using great graphics. The site emphasizes safety.

Affiliated with: California State Automobile Association (CSAA)
Center for Advanced Infrastructure and Transportation (CAIT)

Description: The Center develops "research opportunities through fostering partnerships. The research and development continues to expand into different realms of importance for transportation safety. Reaching out to areas such as highway lighting, emergency management, harbor management, dredging operations, and many more are only some of the ways the Center has been achieving its transportation research goals."
