Introduction to Tables for the Census 2000 Special EEO File
Generally, the tables on the Census 2000 Special EEO File will
present the primary variables of race and ethnicity cross tabulated
by other variables, such as detailed occupation, occupational
groups, sex, worksite geography, residence geography, education,
age and industry.
Specifications for Tables for the Census 2000 Special
EEO File
Specifically, the specifications for the tables are as
follows:

1. Note: For Residence Geography tables, there are 472 Detailed
Occupational Categories, as the Unemployed, with no work experience since
1995 (Census Code 992) are included. For Worksite/Residence and Worksite
Geography tables, there are 471 Detailed Occupational Categories, as the
Unemployed (Census Code 992) are not included.
2. Note: For Worksite/Residence tables (I A; II A, C, E and G; and III A),
Residence tables (I B; II B, D, F and H; and III B and C) and Worksite tables
(IV, V, VI and VII), for the US and other geographies except for those in
Hawaii, there will be 12 Race/Ethnicity categories. For Worksite/Residence,
Residence and Worksite tables for geographies in Hawaii, there will be 15
Race/Ethnicity categories.
3. Note: OPM's tabulations will not have the level of geographic detail
that the other Federal Agencies will have, due to the larger number of
OPM Occupational Groups.
