Remote Sensing Workshop
November 13-15, 2000
Kansas City, Missouri
Purpose

Develop a common understanding among ARS scientists involved in remote sensing research about the progress being made in different areas, opportunities for collaboration, and potential for interaction with a broad array of National Programs within ARS. Develop an agenda for research activities within topical areas that would have potential to further application of remotely sensed information to agricultural and natural resource problems.
Audience
ARS scientists actively involved in remote sensing research and those with potential interest in becoming involved and ARS National Program Leaders from various National Programs.
Objectives
  1. Develop through presentations and discussion a research agenda that will advance remote sensing applications to agriculture and natural resource issues.
  2. Produce a series of white papers for discussion of specific topic areas, a consensus on potential application areas and research gaps, and a collaborative network among ARS scientists in further developing remote sensing.
