Lauren E. Hay

Lauren Hay is a research hydrologist with the USGS National Research Program, Central Region, Denver, Colorado. She has been a member of the Precipitation-Runoff Modeling research group since 1989. The research group has the broad goal of understanding precipitation-runoff processes and developing improved hydrologic models.

Research Topics:

  • Spatial and temporal distribution of climate variables for hydrologic modeling
  • Statistical and dynamical downscaling of atmospheric models
  • Hydrologic forecasting
  • Model calibration
