Methods The means of using the apparatus (method) has been incorporated in the RCRA methods manual SW-846. Two methods for vacuum distillation are available, method 5032 and method 8261. The method and application of method are discussed below. |

SW-846 method 5032 Method 5032 fits within SW-846 as purely a preparation procedure. It is a procedure to prepare extracts containing analytes from a sample. The extract is then analyzed by a determinative procedure such as method 8260. The means to detect and quantify analytes are described in the determinative method. This is the simplest application of vacuum distillation and the analytes are limited to those identified in the determinative method. |
