Education and Training Center/International

Partners

The Education and Training Center - International Programs develops workshops and seminars in close collaboration with numerous partner organizations overseas. A few examples include:

- Government ministries, such as the U.S. Department of State, the U.S. Department of Defense, and the Spanish Foreign Ministry (on an Israeli/Palestinian program)

- Inter-governmental organizations, including the United Nations, the ASEAN Regional Forum, the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, and the Organization of American States

- Non-governmental organizations, such as the Hunt Alternatives Foundation and the American Friends Service Committee

- Universities and Academic institutions, such as university of Kabul, ahfad university for women, and Sharq el Neil

Participants

Since our programs are typically arranged in partnership with other organizations, participation is generally by invitation. However, our online courses are open to anyone and available anywhere there is Internet access. Between onsite workshops and online courses, about 2500 practitioners participate annually in USIP's education and training programs, including:

Sudan Workshop Program participants in Sudan.  

- Diplomats, other government officials, military professionals, and law enforcement personnel from the U.S. and dozens of foreign countries

- Leaders of inter-governmental and non-governmental organizations, as well as media and civic activists

- Practitioners of unofficial, or Track II diplomacy

- University professors, students and youth leaders
