      Corps participates in 12th Annual

      American River Salmon Festival

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento District hosted a booth at the 12th Annual American River Salmon Festival on October 11-12 in Rancho Cordova. This year's event was held at the Nimbus fish hatchery and Lake Natoma in Rancho Cordova. The event is hosted with the intention of raising money and awareness of the needs for the American River and its habitat.

This year, the Corps hosted a booth on the Lake Natoma side of the event and featured our Park Rangers' Water Safety Trailer and Seamoor the Serpeant and an adjoining information booth about some of the current projects of the Sacramento District. Our booth met with thousands of visitors over the weekend. Thanks to all the volunteers who took time out of their holiday weekend to help out.
