Small Grant Program

USAID/Lebanon's Small Awards Program supports Lebanese organizations in improving, expanding, and/or developing their rendered services particularly in the fields of humanitarian and social assistance, expanding economic opportunities, and promoting environmental awareness and protection.

To apply to the Small Awards Program, organizations need to submit an Application Form to USAID/Lebanon by following these steps:

  1. Obtain an Application Form from::
    - USAID's offices at the U.S. Embassy in Awkar.
    or
    - USAID's website by clicking above.
  2. Fill out the Application Form on Pages 1 and 2.
  3. If you are a Lebanese non-profit organization - Private Voluntary Organization (PVO), check the left side box on Pages 3 and 4.
  4. If you are a Lebanese Faith-Based Organization (FBO), check the left side box on Page 5.
  5. Place the name and signature of the authorized representative of the applicant on Page 6.
  6. Enclose ALL requested official documents. An Application Form submitted to USAID without ALL the official documents requested in the Application Form will NOT be eligible for consideration.
  7. The envelope containing the Application Form and ALL the requested official documents should be addressed to the attention of:

Project proposals submitted by Lebanese organizations to USAID/Lebanon are evaluated against the following eligibility criteria:

  1. Number of beneficiaries.
  2. Location of beneficiaries.
  3. Proposed type of project and category of beneficiaries.
  4. Estimated budget of project up to USD 50,000.
  5. Organizational capabilities.
  6. Project sustainability.
  7. Special characteristics.
  8. All requested official documents must be included in the application form.

USAID/Lebanon funds do not cover taxation such as Value Added Tax (VAT) and customs tax that may be generated from any procurement transaction under a grant.
