The 2008 Kenneth A. Spencer Award for Outstanding Achievement in Agricultural and Food Chemistry has been given to Dr. Ron G. Buttery, emeritus chemist at the Western Regional Research Center. Dr. Buttery and Dr. Gary Takeoka, Research Chemist, presented research during the award symposium hosted by the Kansas City Section of the American Chemical Society on October 27, 2008.
