This service is offered to U.S. and Canadian libraries and those affiliated with U.S. governmental organizations, including members of the law enforcement and/or corrections community.
All of the publications listed in the NCJRS Abstracts Database are available through this service. If you are not affiliated with one of these organizations contact your local library for assistance in submitting your loan request.
If you are affiliated with an eligible organization, please click on the “Continue” button below and complete the following registration pages to set up your account and request materials from the NCJRS collection. Your registration will be further reviewed against our established criteria and you will be notified of your eligibility status via email within 24 hours. If approved you may submit future interlibrary loan requests using our online system simply by logging in to this service from the NCJRS Library/Abstracts Web page.
If you are not eligible, or are denied, it is still possible to borrow materials from our collection. However, you must contact you local library for assistance in submitting your loan request.
Costs:
Interlibrary loans within the United States cost $15.00 per item borrowed. Loans to Canada cost $16.50 (USD) per item borrowed. In most cases, loans to U.S. Federal, State, and local government agencies and members of the law enforcement and/or corrections community are free of charge.
Photocopy requests placed through the interlibrary loan service vary in price dependant upon the page length (page count) of the document requested and your geographic location (domestic or outside the U.S.). Page counts may include blank pages as they appear in the original document. The chart below details photocopy service fees. Customers will not be billed until the availability of the requested document is confirmed.
