Geneva, 30 June to 10 July 2008 A two-week colloquium for teachers of intellectual property from developing countries and countries with economies in transition is being jointly organized by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the World Trade Organization (WTO) in Geneva from 30 June to 10 July 2008. The colloquium is also open to limited participation of teachers from developed countries. The colloquium seeks to be a multidisciplinary event, open to lawyers, economists, and other university teachers working in the field of intellectual property. |

This colloquium is aimed at enhancing the capacity of universities in developing countries and in countries with economies in transition to develop national expertise in intellectual property and provide policy advice to governments on matters dealt with by the WIPO and WTO. The working
language will be English. Twenty (20) places are available for
applicants from developing countries and countries with economies in
transition. The costs related to their participation will be borne by
the organizers. An additional five places will be available for
applicants from developed countries, at their own expense.

WIPO Worldwide Academy The final selection will be made by the organizers, taking into consideration the need for regional and gender balance. Selected applicants will be directly notified by the organizers. |
