Navy Vice. Adm. Alan S. Thompson, identified these five focus areas for Agency employees.

Warfighter Support Enhancements: DLA's top priority is always warfighter support. This means supporting the readiness and sustainment of those who are in harm's way or are preparing to deploy.

Mission Area Assessment: DLA's responsibilities have continued to grow in recent years as the Base Closure and Realignment 2005 decisions and other factors have driven DLA to extend itself increasingly forward with the warfighters and maintainers.

Workforce Development: It is imperative we do all we can to help enable our superb workforce to maximize their potential to contribute in this challenging environment.

Stewardship Improvements: Maintaining the financial, physical and information assurance integrity of these assets and associated processes and records is a vital responsibility that must be further improved.
