Working closely with mission counterparts as well as regional bureaus, the team has both sectoral
backstopping responsibilities(e.g. clean energy technology, sustainable land use and forestry,
adaptation to climate change, climate science for decision-making, and capacity building) as well as
geographic backstopping roles (e.g. Africa, Asia and the Near East, Europe and Eurasia, and Latin
America and the Caribbean). This core, Washington-based team is comprised of the following team members:
- William (Bill) Breed, Team Leader
- Mary Griffin Williams, Administrative Assistant
- Provides administrative support, including travel and country clearance cables
- John Furlow, Climate Change Specialist: Impacts and Adaptation
- Collin Green, Climate Change Specialist: Mitigation Technology
- Duane Muller, Senior Climate Change Specialist: Capacity Building and Outreach
