Are your students still afraid to use the computer, for
fear that they might accidentally press the 'detonator' key or want go
to the library(the big room with all the books) because they can't find
the electronic card catalog. Maybe the site thay need to become
familiar with is www.big6.com. This is the site for information and
technology skills. Eisenberg and Berkowitz adapted the scientific
method into the information seeking steps to finding information.
One hint that they mentioned once in the online Big 6
newsletter is to use the blank slides of MS Powerpoint to save notes and
rearranging the notes instead of cards. There's also a expalnation on
how to effectively summarize an article.
