The Alaska Public Lands Information Centers are interagency visitor centers authorized by the Alaska National Interest Lands Conservation Act. The centers serve the public on behalf of eight federal and state agencies which manage public lands in Alaska. The agencies are the National Park Service, Fish and Wildlife Service, Bureau of Land Management, Geological Survey, Forest Service, the Alaska Department of Fish and Game, Department of Commerce, Community &
Economic Development, Alaska Department of Transportation, and the Department of Natural Resources. Alaska's state and federal public lands are rich and varied. The centers provide one-stop access to visitor information on Alaska's public lands, including interpretive programs, daily films, brochures, mail and phone requests and special events.

Whether you hike, camp, photograph, hunt, fish, or take a scenic drive, your first step should be into the Alaska Public Lands Information Centers. Find them conveniently located in downtown Anchorage, Fairbanks, Ketchikan, and also in Tok along the Alaska Highway.

At the centers, you'll find natural and cultural resource exhibits, fish and wildlife information, trip-planning, films and videos, book and map sales, recreation and visitor information, and interpretive programs.
