DWSRF Annual Allotments by Fiscal Year

DWSRF State Allotments 2007 - 2009

Allotments made from Congressional funding for Fiscal Years 2006-2009 are based on the results of the Third Drinking Water Needs Survey Released in 2005.

DWSRF State Allotments 2002 - 2005

Allotments made from Congressional funding for Fiscal Years 2002 - 2005 were based on the results of the Second Drinking Water Needs Survey released in 2001.

DWSRF Allotments 1997 - 2001

Allotments made from Congressional funding for Fiscal Years 1998-2001 were based on the results of the First Drinking Water Needs Survey released in 1997. Congress directed that allotments for Fiscal Year 1997 funding be based on the formula used for state Public Water System Supervision grants.

  • Drinking Water Needs Survey - EPA is required to provide Congress with a Drinking Water Infrastructure Needs Survey every four years. The needs from the reports are used to determine state grant allotments.
  • Tribal Program
    • Information and allotments - EPA established the Drinking Water Infrastructure Grants Tribal Set-Aside (DWIG TSA) Program. Community water systems, and non-profit, non-community water systems, that serve a tribal population are eligible to have projects funded, in whole or in part, with DWIG TSA funds.
  • Territorial Program
    • Information and allotments - EPA established the Drinking Water Infrastructure Grants Territorial Set-Aside Program for grants to improve the infrastructure of drinking water systems located in:
      • Virgin Islands,
      • American Samoa,
      • Guam, and
      • the Northern Mariana Islands.
