POSITION:

Research Plant Physiologist/Research Biochemist/Research Molecular biologist

LOCATION: Maricopa, Arizona

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: The incumbent will conduct research on the interaction of plant proteins that regulate photosynthesis in plants, and serves as a member of a research team whose goal is to improve the sustainable and efficient production of cotton. Objective of the research is to determine the mechanistic basis for the inactivation of Rubisco and Rubisco activase under moderate heat stress.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Ph.D. in Plant Physiology, Molecular Biology or Biochemistry or a related biological/physical science is required. Experience in the use of specialized techniques and procedures of structural biochemistry ,molecular biology and protein-protein interactions preferred.
