USAID To Honor Colleagues With Memorial Dedication

Washington, DC- On Tuesday, May 17, U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Administrator Andrew S. Natsios will host a dedication ceremony for a new memorial honoring colleagues whose lives were lost while carrying out the economic and humanitarian assistance programs of the United States of America. The unveiling of the USAID memorial will take place in its permanent location in the 14th Street lobby of USAID headquarters in Washington, DC.

The memorial will be unveiled by Administrator Natsios, who will be joined by family members of those who are being honored. The names of the 60 colleagues will be read, and the ceremony will conclude with a wreath-laying in front of the memorial.

  • Virginia Foley, widow of Laurence Foley
  • Families of those honored
When:
    Tuesday, May 17, 2005 Program begins at 3:30 pm. Reporters should arrive no later than 3:00 pm.

    1300 Pennsylvania Avenue, N.W., Washington, D.C.
