Welcome to the PVC-ASHA Knowledge Inventory

As part of our efforts to share USAID lessons learned in the area of organizational development, the PVC-ASHA office has created a web-based knowledge inventory. You can search the knowledge inventory located at http://pvc-ki.usaid.gov/pvcx. The inventory captures USAID’s experience strengthening American private voluntary organizations (PVOs) and international non-governmental organizations (NGOs). Drawing on PVC-ASHA’s 30+ years of grant programs, as well as programs funded throughout the world by USAID, this database includes summaries of documents produced through these programs and descriptions of tools for organizational development (such as checklists, handbooks, etc.) that are appended to these documents. It is our hope that this database will provide those interested in USAID’s experience in organizational development with a valuable resource that will provide targeted information to users within USAID and the development community at large about available USAID documentation on organizational development including methods, tools, and lessons learned.

The Knowledge Inventory Database features a search form, which enables you to search for documents using a variety of options, including title, organizational development category (such as capacity assessment, for example), or country of activity. Searching the database will produce a result list, where the document summaries can be viewed. The document summary contains basic information about the document, including whether there are any tools attached to the document, a description of the major findings of the document, and a link to the USAID Development Experience Clearinghouse where the document can be downloaded electronically or ordered in paper copy. The result list can also be printed, saved to a file, or emailed as needed. We hope you find this to be a useful resource.
