  • Visit the New Basic Support for Institutionalizing Child Survival (BASICS) Web Site
The new site, www.basics.org, is an excellent resource for locating and downloading publications, reviewing project activities, and keeping up-to-date on critical issues in child survival.  Begun in 1994 and now in its third 5-year cycle, BASICS serves as the USAID Bureau for Global Health’s lead technical assistance partner in developing and implementing newborn and child survival strategies. The project is funded by USAID and implemented by the Partnership for Child Health Care, Inc.  The Partnership is comprised of the Academy for Educational Development, John Snow, Inc., and Management Sciences for Health. Subcontractors include the Manoff Group, Inc., the Program for Appropriate Technology in Health, and Save the Children Federation, Inc.
